Step into the Old Town Square in Prague and journey back in its history, 600 or 700 many years. As you stand-in awe, the dramatic history of Prague permeates the atmosphere.

The Old Town Square times through the 12th century and started life since the main market for Prague. On the centuries structures of Romanesque, Baroque and Gothic types had been erected around the marketplace, each taking together stories of rich merchants and governmental intrigue.

The most known sights regarding square are the Old Town Hall Tower & Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church and St. Nicholas Church.

During the center of Old Town Square is the Jan Hus statue, erected regarding 6th July 1915 to mark the 500th anniversary for the reformer’s death. The groundswell of assistance for their beliefs through the 14th and 15th hundreds of years generated the Hussite wars.
